Becoming a house flipper is actually easier than you might think. However, I will say this, being a house flipper is not for the weak at heart. It takes passion, persistence, patience, dedication, and most importantly education.

Learning how to flip real estate is not a get rich quick method per say. While it is true you can amass a fortune in a short period of time, it does take some work and determination. On a more positive note, if you will actually take the time to educate yourself correctly, then becoming a house flipper will be a profitable business for you.

I’m a strong believer in getting the right education first and then implementing what you’ve learned out in the real world.

With that being said, let me explain the road map you must take in order to succeed at becoming a house flipper.

1.) Correct mindset – Having the correct mindset is very important when it comes to flipping real estate. There will be many times were you’ll hit a bump in the road or you’ll have to make a quick decision and having a positive attitude will help with an immediate solution instead of a problem.

2.) Find – A big part of becoming a successful house flipper will be to learn how to find the deals. After all, if you can’t find the deals, then you can’t make any money. Remember, you make money when you buy.

3.) Fund – Once you have the deal, you need to be able to fund it. Despite what you might be thinking, there are several way to get your deals funded, even if you have bad credit and little or no money.

4.) Fix – Getting your property fixed in the least amount of time is key to this business. You must learn how to set a budget and stick with it. Also, you need to learn how much things cost and forget about doing the work yourself. Hire a subcontractor to do the work. In this business, it’s all about speed, speed, speed.

5.) Flip – The flip is the part of the business were you get paid. This is were becoming a house flipper can be exciting and fun. If you’ve done your homework correctly, kept your budget in check and learned how to market your property correctly, then you can be sure a big payday is coming your way. From start to finish, you can expect to cash out in as little as 90 to 120 days.

Becoming a house flipper can be a lucrative, exciting, and profitable business but always remember that flipping houses requires your continued education.
